As I am a boat builder by trade I have over 15 yrs knowledgeable work under my belt and counting I understand how canal boats are built inside and out this has given me more insight into all work I do because I understand what it takes to Build a boat from the floor up most people can tell you its easy to build a new boat well I'm afraid after Re-plating 19 Boats in the last year I've found it so much more easier than new boats, ok its not as clean working on new boats to be expected. Some re-platers don't understand nor care about there work well this is something I couldn't live with my self, I pride my self on my work if its not right then its wrong that's my motto along side: your only as good as the last job you do! and for me this could well be your Home.
all my work is & has passed British water ways safety scheme
all my Re-plating work is welded plate by plate most Re-platers cut massive corners, corners you cant see have been cut once the re-plating work has be completed this can lead to plate seems splitting under the pressure of boats knocking to gether and pushing up against the canal walls, as all my plates are welded one by one the plate have no way of splitting under these stresses this also allows me to Air test the steel work panel by panel before the Boat goes back into the water, I've witnessed boats leaking as there is no other way to test the welding work before this happens unless you Air test witch Reeves marine modifications insist is the is the way forward on all re-plating work
